Planning Commission

The Planning Commission provides recommendations to the City Council on the following items: amendments to the General Plan, amendments to the Zoning and Subdivision Codes, rezones, and right-of-way vacations. The Planning Commission also approves or denies preliminary subdivision plats. The Planning Commission meets the second and fourth Wednesday of the month as needed at 6 p.m. at the Providence City Offices.

Minutes Note:
Final minutes of the Planning Commission meetings are not released to the public until after the committee has reviewed and approved them. Approval of the previous meetings’ minutes normally occurs at each meeting. Minutes may be obtained by clicking the links below or by contacting the City Office.

Agendas Note:
Agendas for the Planning Commission are usually available to the public several days in advance of a scheduled meeting. Agendas are available by clicking the links below or by calling the City Office at (435) 752-9441. Agendas are also displayed at the Providence City Office, 164 North Gateway Drive and on the state public notice website.

Public Comment Period
It will be necessary for those persons wanting to address the Commission to fill in the Public Comment Sign-In Sheet provided and located at the entry to the Council Room.
Public Hearing Comments
It will be necessary for those persons wanting to address the Commission to fill in the Public Hearing Comment Sign-In Sheet provided and located at the entry to the Council Room.
The Chair will call forward those persons wanting to speak in order as they appear on the sign-in sheet.

Each speaker will have 3 minutes to address the Commission.

Total time allotted for Public Comment is 21 minutes.

If there is time remaining in the Public Comment Period, the Chair may invite members of the audience to speak.

Public Comment Period Decorum

The Chair will call forward those persons wanting to speak in order as they appear on the sign-in sheet.

Each speaker will have 5 minutes to address the Commission.

Total time allotted for Public Comment is 50 minutes.

If there is time remaining in the Public Hearing Period, the Chair may invite members of the audience to speak.
